HOdo Park - full blossom in Cambodia (Chinese brand, Chinese stories)

Eight years ago, a groups of pioneers from HOdo Group, Wuxi, Jiangsu came to Sihanoukville Province, southwest of Cambodia and established a brand-new special economic zone on the wasteland near the sea adjoining the Gulf of Thailand. In the eight years that followed, numerous modern factories and avenues in the Parks extending in all directions have been built.
The construction of the special economic zone brings along the local economic development: impoverished villagers came to work in the Park to become industrial workers, allowing their living standard to have improved greatly. With the establishment of special zone, this land, as if enchanted, has seen earth-shaking changes. The “Story of This Spring” took place in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone that is known as “Shenzhen in Cambodia”. As envisaged by Zhou Haijiang, in the coming few years, the model Park based on mutually beneficial cooperation on the course of “one belt one, one road” will become an ecological livable city - Sino-Cambodia Friendship City having 300 enterprises, 100,000 industrial workers and a population of 200,000, making itself a bright pearl on the “one belt, one road”.
Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone is the largest special economic zone approved by the government of the Kingdom of Cambodia as well as the economic cooperation zone with bilateral government agreement concluded between China and Cambodia for the first time and the economic cooperation zone as set up bilateral government coordination mechanism for the first time. Zhou Haijing pointed out that the “one belt, one road” strategy is accelerating the construction of Cambodia Sihanoukville Special Economy Zone (SSEZ). In the future, SSEZ will put into place “one city, two ports and three centers”, that is, Cambodia New Economic Center, Southeast Asia New Logistics Center, Training and Communication Center in greater-mekong sub-region. By the time this project is completed, 300 enterprises will be introduced, thus offering jobs to 100,000 local industrial workers and turning the goal of having a population of 200,000 into reality.
Bu Jianguo, Chinese ambassador in Cambodia believes that economic and trade industrial park is an important carrier for the construction of “one belt, one road”. While implementing the strategy of “one belt, one road”, SSEZ has constructed and provided a valuable model to the parks outside China to take for reference. Moreover, it has also become an important platform for Chinese enterprises to “go global”.
